PSIM PROFESSIONAL

The Professional Version has the full functionality, has no circuit size limitation (number of elements in simulation circuit) and all modules are available.
Available in stand alone and network version.
The number of users of the network version can be adapted to the users needs.

The difference is that the Stand-alone Version runs on individual computers, whereas the Network Version allows multiple users to access and run the software simultaneously over a network
PSIM professional license is provided with a CD ROM and a USB Key by default.

PSIM STANDARD

Limited to 60 elements in simulation.
Available only in stand alone version.

The Standard Version has the same functionality as the Professional Version, with the following exceptions:

• The number of elements in the circuit is limited to 60
• The C Script block, Power Modeling Block, Embedded Software Block, and General DLL blocks are not available
• The SimCoupler Module, Thermal Module, MagCoupler Module, and MagCoupler-RT Module are not available with this version

Available for Academics only

PSIM STUDENT

Limited to 60 elements in simulation.
Available in stand alone and network versions.

The Student Version has the same functionality as the Professional Version, with the following exceptions:

• The number of elements in the circuit is limited to 60
• The C Script block, Power Modeling Block, Embedded Software Block, and General DLL blocks are not available
• The Motor Drive, Digital Control, Renewable Energy models, and PsimBook Exercises are the only add-ons available with this version (The SimCoupler Module, Thermal Module, MagCoupler Module, and MagCoupler-RT Module are not available with this version)
• The Network version is provided with a USB key. It doesn't need to be activated through the Internet

The Student Soft Key version (softkey stand-alone version) is provided by internet download only. It requires activation via internet after the installation.
After the software is activated, the Student softkey version can run without the internet connection, and there is no time limit on the software. To transfer the license to another computer, first de-activate the license by going to Options -> Deactivate in PSIM. Then install and activate the license on the other computer. Internet connection is required for deactivation.
The license activation/deactivation service is provided for 36 months from the time of purchase. After 36 months, the software will still run as long as it is already activated.

PSIM DEMO

Limited to 34 elements.
It has the full functionality, with the exception that the subcircuit and library editing functions are disabled.
In addition, there are further limits on individual elements.

STAND ALONE					It runs on individual computers
NETWORK	From 1 to 50 users	-	5, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30 or 50 users	-	It allows multiple users to access and run the software simultaneously over a network. Depending on the license, the maximum number of users allowed to run PSIM at the same time can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

Both are provided with a CD-ROM (for installation) and a USB Key (for protection) by default.
